About Jordi Morgan
Jordi Morgan is Vice-President, Atlantic at the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB). He oversees all of CFIB’s legislative activities for the four Atlantic Provinces. Born and raised in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, Jordi has a diverse background including a broadcasting career spanning nearly 40 years, politics, public policy, legislative affairs and running a small media business in Halifax.
After 13 years in private radio, Jordi spent 10 years as a national anchor with CBC Television News. Locally, Morgan became well known as the host of the popular regional radio program Maritime Morning, winning an Atlantic Journalism Award and two RTDNA Awards. Morgan has also worked at the Atlantic Institute for Market Studies, and as Director of Parliamentary Affairs for the Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development Canada.
He firmly believes that small businesses and entrepreneurs make up the single most important sector of the economy. He is dedicated to ensuring the collective will and voice of CFIB’s members is consistently front and centre on the public agenda.
Jordi is the father of three children and lives in St. Margaret's Bay.
